MyMu

MyMu ("the App") is developed and maintained by JinHyuk Mok ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use MyMu on your iPhone.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

MyMu is a fully local, private music player. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share:

• Your personal identity or contact information
• Your music library, file names, or listening history
• Usage analytics or crash reports sent to us
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs

2. Data Stored on Your Device

All data created by MyMu is stored exclusively on your device and never leaves it unless you explicitly choose to do so:

• Library metadata (track titles, artists, album names, artwork) — saved in app sandbox via UserDefaults
• NAS / WebDAV server credentials (host, username, password) — stored in UserDefaults on-device only
• Downloaded music files — saved in the app's Documents directory on your device
• Playback position — stored locally so you can resume where you left off

3. Third-Party Services

MyMu uses one optional third-party service for lyrics:

• LRCLIB (lrclib.net) — a free, open-source lyrics database. When lyrics are requested, the app sends the track's title and artist name to LRCLIB's public API over HTTPS. No personal data is included. LRCLIB does not require registration or an API key. See lrclib.net for their own policy.

No other third-party SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising networks are integrated in MyMu.

4. Network Access

The App may connect to your local network to reach NAS or PC servers you configure (SMB / WebDAV). These connections are made directly from your device to your own servers — no data passes through our infrastructure.

5. Apple Music / Media Library

If you grant permission, MyMu reads your iPhone's media library to import tracks. This data is used solely to populate your in-app library and is never transmitted externally.

6. Children's Privacy

MyMu does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The App contains no user accounts, social features, or data collection mechanisms.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
